Beauty and lethality are comfortable bedfellows in everything from noir fiction to F-16 fighter jets.

But few domains promise this terminal combination more than Nature.  From the iridescent Box jellyfish to the majestic Bengal tiger, natural beauty often kills.  This small painting came about quite organically.

With a few pools of very fluid paint and a plastic straw, something resembling a stonefish, considered the world’s deadliest fish, came into being with a few puffs of air and a little imagination.  Unintentionally.  Possibly an unconscious memory from a long past National Geographic episode.  An excellent accent painting for kid rooms or vibrantly colored bathrooms.
