This painting represents the simple desire to create a feeling and mood of happiness using vibrant color combinations and patterns. Thick layers of paint were applied in succession with various paint scrappers and my hands to draw out movement and vibrancy. Allusions to early abstract landscape painting draw the viewer into a moment of reflection: both for them as a memory, and in the structure of neighboring patters that suggest a change in medium.
