Memory Castle (German Shepherd)

This is my third painting in the pup series using a canvas size I haven't used much before. Like several of my previous paintings, I leaned into sculpting a sense of space with clouds. Here clouds are conceived as planes, volumes, and atmospheric space without any care for the laws of physics or chemistry. Heck, even the perspective lines are off at times, but this is abstract art so anything goes.

For German Shepherd lovers, this painting might resonate with you in a special way. Though I've never owned a German Shepherd before, I immersed myself in countless images for inspiration. And my neighbor's German Shepherd exerted some influence over me since she lets me know how much she hates my guts every time I mow my lawn.

I wanted to give you, the viewer, a snapshot of your own pup memories with distinct scenes, or rooms, representing different memories that you either have had or will have with your furry one. Even though having this German Shepherd standing at the top of a staircase with a red door partially open behind her might suggest a stairway to Heaven, I choose to see this as either that or a stairway to You. Memories you have had or memories you will have. In both cases, you get to have them and cherish them. So do!
