Mitch and the Boys

A few good ole boys hanging out in the shallows on a hot Friday night.  

Except for the blue background, the figures in this painting were created using a plastic straw to blow pools of fluid paints into colorful shapes and transparencies that resemble jellyfish.  I nearly passed out blowing Mitch and the Boys into existence.  It takes no small amount of lung power to make these fellas appear nimble, fluid, and iridescent.  But the resulting image is very relaxing and enjoyable.
