Simple Things

What started out as one painting, ended up becoming something entirely different.  Simple Things is an excellent example of what I call a "revenge painting".  I had every good intention to create a flowing floral composition with a new hockey brush I recently purchased.  Either the hockey brush wasn't working properly, or I wasn't working properly, or I wasn't meant to do floral paintings, or all of the above.  Whatever the reason, I angrily threw paint all over the turd floral in front of me and blended the colors together as an act of revenge for its resistance.

The resulting color gradient was surprisingly pleasing and eventually turned into Simple Things.  You draw your own impressions of it.  I enjoy it for the revenge it gave me, and for its very simple and satisfying composition.
